At age 20, you may apply for a large truck license for the first time, but a medium-sized bus license can only be obtained through additional training and cannot be applied for first. Per the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses": (1) applicants for small cars, small automatic-transmission cars, special small automatic-transmission passenger cars for the disabled, and light motorcycles must be over 18; (2) applicants for low-speed freight cars, three-wheeled cars, ordinary three-wheeled motorcycles, ordinary two-wheeled motorcycles, or special-purpose wheeled mobile machinery must be 18 to 60; (3) applicants for urban buses, medium-sized passenger cars, large trucks, light-duty trailers, trolley buses, or trams must be 20 to 60; (4) applicants for large passenger cars and heavy-duty trailers must be 22 to 60; (5) first-time applicants may apply for: urban buses, large trucks, small cars, small automatic-transmission cars, low-speed freight cars, three-wheeled cars, special small automatic-transmission passenger cars for the disabled, ordinary three-wheeled motorcycles, ordinary two-wheeled motorcycles, light motorcycles, special-purpose wheeled mobile machinery, trolley buses, and trams.
