According to "The Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving License", drivers must regularly undergo inspection by the public security traffic administration as required by laws and regulations. When applying for a license replacement under articles 63 and 64 of the law, drivers must undergo inspection. Holders of licenses for large passenger cars, heavy-duty trailers, urban buses, medium-sized passenger cars, or large trucks must undergo inspection within 30 days after the end of each scoring cycle. However, no inspection is required for any cycle in which there are no points recorded. Holders of non-operational vehicle licenses other than the third category, who bear equal or greater responsibility for a fatal accident and have not had their license revoked, must undergo inspection within 30 days after the end of the scoring cycle. Drivers over 70 who cause an accident with serious injury or death must undergo inspection within 30 days after the end of the scoring cycle. Drivers may take the inspection and submit physical condition certificates at the place of issuance or at other locations.
